Alex serves as the Group Senior Vice President for Technology Risk Management where he co-chairs the Office of Compliance and Technology Risk for G42. In his role, Alex is responsible for overseeing cybersecurity and export control compliance for High-Performance Computing (HPC) and Artificial Intelligence solutions. He also oversees cybersecurity, export control, and Responsible AI for G42 under its commercial agreement with Microsoft and the Azure UAE Regional Expansion project. Alex also previously served as the CISO for Core42 overseeing cybersecurity for cloud and AI platforms globally.

Alex has over 15 years of experience in cybersecurity and Governance, Risk, and Compliance. Prior to joining G42, Alex was a Senior Managing Director in the National Security, Trade, and Technology practice at Ankura Consulting Group. In this role Alex served as a cybersecurity and technology SME in over a dozen CFIUS National Security Agreements, two Team Telecom Letters of Agreement, two ITAR Consent Agreement Audits, multiple FedRAMP authorizations, and multiple DFARS and CMMC cybersecurity engagements for U.S. defense contractors. He has advised U.S. and foreign technology companies in HPC exports totaling over $40 billion (USD) in value.
