She has led projects with various international organisations, including law enforcement agencies to enhance child safeguarding standards and responses to child exploitation and strengthen cross-sector collaboration on online harms. 

A passionate advocate for ethical technology, Maryam is a global voice in Child Rights, Responsible AI and the integration of child safeguarding principles into emerging tech.

As an Ambassador for the AI Universal Council, she brings a child rights lens to international AI policy discussions. Maryam also serves as a trusted advisor and board member to several organisations, helping shape policies that protect and safeguard children worldwide. 

Her work focuses on raising awareness and advancing prevention programmes and policies to address child abuse and neglect.
